Dr. Tina Malticontact
| |||
RESEARCHTina Malti studies the development of children’s and adolescents’ social and moral emotions, such as sympathy and guilt. She has been especially interested in how these emotions relate to how young people understand and reason about social situations, express psychological symptoms and thrive amidst social and psychological risks of everyday life. She is using the insights gained from her socio-emotional and social-cognitive research to design developmental prevention programs. In this applied research, Tina Malti is investigating how to enhance children’s and adolescents’ socio-emotional development and mental health and how to decrease aggression and problem behaviors in school and out-of-school-time settings. |
