RESEARCH

Greg is interested in the development of the self and identity. He is especially interested in how one's conceptions of the self, in relation to others and to society, influence personal values, motivation, and decision making and how these conceptions related to various aspects of the environment. Within this general framework, he is currently looking at the influence of attachment relationships and various group memberships on identity and personal values. Towards this end, Greg's research compares samples from different national cultures as well as various regional and social groupings within a culture.
