RESEARCH
Jennifer's primary research interest is prejudice, from the perspective of both the agent and the target. Her work focuses on the neural processes underlying empathy's role in prejudice and prejudice reduction. She is also interested in the basic processes involved in self-regulation, and particularly in the effects of emotion on self-regulatory failure and success. Jennifer takes a social neuroscience approach in her research, combining methods from social psychology, cognitive psychology, and neuroscience.
